Snow and snowmobiling report for Northern Minnesota
1-22-12 We have snow finally, and enough to get the snowmobiles out for a little bit. It looks like maybe some more thru the night and into tommorrow as well. There should be enough to safely get on the trails for the first time this year.
Plan your snowmobiling trips early to get one of our big cabins for the weekend away. The new 6 bedroom with the 12 person outdoor hot tub will defiantly be a hit. If you take the trails to the north of Blackduck you will have some great trails with no one else on them. It seems the trails that go to the south have all the bars and so if you need a hot toddy to keep you warm this where you need to go.
For down hill skiing and tubing we are 20 minutes from Buena Vista Ski Resort. They have down hill skiing, snowboarding and tubing. If you are looking for cross country skiing there a lot of nice trails in our area also.
