Minnesota Fishing Report
and Lake description
Last Up Date 08-24-2010
Blackduck Lake The lake has turned over the 3 rd time this year and boy was it ever GREEN. With this wind this last couple days blowing non stop it has broken the algea up. The weather has turned cold now and looks like it will be in the low 40's in the next couple nights. I look for the walleye to start biting really good in the next few weeks since they have been hanging low for a while.

Bemidji Lake The bite on Bemidji is really good now for perch. They are catching them with leechs and shiners on the humps. The walleye are in there summer pattern right now.
Gilstad Lake Gilstad lake is giving up blue gill but you do have to weed thru them to get some eaters. There are a few bass being caught as well here.
There has been reports of the northern biting when trolling with a minnow
Pimushe Lake The bass and panfish are going strong right now
Upper Red Lake
The bite on Upper Red lake is a hit and miss with all of the weather fronts coming thru and the ever changing wind.
Turtle River Lake Go to turtle and catch tons of Northern if you want to have some fishing fun.
Here is a link to Outdoorsweekly fishing report which I contribute to weekly. In this link you will find statewide updates to see what the rest of the state is doing. I will have a little more detail on this page than what is on Outdoorsweekly for Blackduck Lake and the surrounding lakes.
